| Begin by pushing the end of the wire through the first opening in the tooth of the comb, nearest the outside |
| Pull the wire up over the bar on the top of the comb. |
| Twist the wire, firmly, using the needle nose pliers |
| Trim any excess wire using the wire cutters, being careful not to cut the wire from the paddle. |
| Pull off 1 yard of wire from the paddle, and then cut it from the paddle using wire cutters |
| Decide on a bead pattern. Here we chose one loop of clear beads, then one loop of pink beads, one loop of clear, then one loop of pink, then one loop of alternating beads (pink and clear). Repeat the pattern again. Begin by threading 13 beads onto the wire. |
| Make a loop, with the beaded wire and pass it between the teeth of the comb (the next tooth closest to the outside of the comb). Loop the wire under the tooth, and up to the top of the comb. |
| Feed 13 pink beads onto the next piece of wire, and make a loop |
| Continue to loop and feed the wire through each tooth of the comb, in the same manner. |
| When using a lot of beads, an easy way to bead is to put the beads into a small shallow cup or bowl, and pick them up with the end of the wire. |
| After completing our pattern of clear, pink, clear, pink, we alternate the beads (pink, clear, pink, clear) onto the wire. |
| Again, pass the wire through each tooth of the comb... |
| ...and up over. Continue in the manner, beading, looping and wiring. |
| To finish, push the end of the wire through the last tooth on the comb, to create a loop. |
| Use the needle nose pliers, to pull the end of the wire through the loop and tighten the "knot", to secure |
| Trim excess with wire cutters. |
| Clamp down any wire that sticks up, using the needle nose pliers |
